    Default Headaches and Nursing?

    Hey, new here.

I have been getting headaches every evening now. I have heard something about bf and headaches. Is there any correlation?

    Thanks!

How long have you been breastfeeding? Are you getting enough water? Enough iron in your diet? Hopefully someone else has something more educated to say, but I've always found (BFing or not) that I get headaches in the evening when I'm dehydrated.

Yeah, it kinda depends on how long you've been breastfeeding: at first, I had lots of Oxytocin (a hormone that is involved in mommy-baby bonding and in milk production) headaches. Now I have to make sure I keep my fluids up, too, or I get headaches during or after nursing.

The two things that pop into my head would be hydration and iron. Make sure you are drinking lots of water throughout the day.

Are you still taking your prenatals?

I have been nursing for 6.5 months now. It could be because I have not been drinking enough the past couple of days. I will try and drink more. But man these headaches are killing me!

Nope I dont take prenatals. I know I should be but moisture got in the bottle and ruined them. DO you think I can take Flinstones? I have those for the kiddos haha.

    Flintstones are better than nothing!
