Default what is going on??? HELP

My LO is 18 weeks (4 months) and had been eating just fine up until maybe late yesterady and then today (fine last night). He will eat for like 30secs maybe 5 mins and then pull off and cry and then latch on for a few mins then pull off and cry. I'll swtich breasts thinking maybe he milk is going to fast but I just don't know. He seems to enjoy and want it and then when he gets it for more then a few mins he gets upset.

    ???? anyone ????

    Thanks in advanced.

Teething maybe? When my DS is especially in pain from teething his eating habits are pretty weird.

That's what mine started doing when he started teething. On bad days I gave him Tylenol about 10-20min before I expected him to get hungry and that seemed to help.

I never thought that could be it. He is teething he has been since 8 weeks old but he's been drooling ALOT lately and EVERYTHING and ANYTHING he can get in his mouth he does.

How do I know if he is eating/getting enough food when he is doing this?

FYI he pretty much never gives cues anymore. It's on deman (crying and noting else wrong) or every 3 hrs.

Yeah, I found mine stopped giving me cues around that time too. Mostly I think he just got so involved in the world around him that he wouldn't notice until he was REALLY hungry. It's also hard to tell sometimes, because they're sucking on things and putting things in their mouths so much because of teething anyway...it all looks the same sometimes.

Anyway, just keep watching his diapers to know he's getting enough. He should still be getting six or more heavy wet ones a day.

yes yes, the teething stage does make it harder to see what cues might have been there! Diapers are looking good, they always do : ) Thankfully!

Melissac - UGH I'll look into your post... by the way you could have added here if you wanted to. I don't mind at all. hehe
