Default cod oil or fish oil?

Is there any difference between the two? Also what is an advisable amount for a 14 month old?

cod liver oil has vitamin D and A, fish oil does not.
So people take cod oil in the winter when they don't get much sun, and fish in the summer when they get plenty of sun.
