Hi. My son, Alasdair, is about 8 1/2 months old. He's enjoyed some pureed foods (avocado, peas, sweet potato, and more), but when I offer him anything not really smoothly pureed, his gag reflex kicks in and he starts to gag and turn red just as soon as he puts the food in his mouth.
I think it just sits on the back of his tongue until he spit it up.
My question: Should I just stick with the purees, and continue to offer "chunkier" foods slowly? Other than the infrequent solid, he is EBF.
