    No cheerios My first thought was that maybe he was thinking honey nut cheerios or other flavored cheerios Maybe next time he gives advice like this you can ask him why he feels that way. A lot of peds recommend plain cheerios as a good finger food since it virtually melts in their mouth.

    shhh do not tell my ped but I still give them to her and she loves them.

    I did take an apple tonight and shaved with my veggie peeler some apple and then broke them in small pieces. She picked them up and put them her mouth. She had her first raw apple....WOOHOO

    We are not going to do cheerios but that is because dc1 has allergies to wheat. Otherwise we would have cherrios for a baby that age.

    Carlie 4/3/08 - bf - Allergic to milk determined by allergy testing. Adding wheat, egg, & soy to my diet.
    Allergen free diet until 6 months. No gluten, dairy, eggs, soy, nuts, treenuts, seafood, and fish for mommy as a preventative.
    Birth - 9lbs. 1oz., 20 1/2"
    6 months - 19lbs. 15oz.

    Peter 8/31/05 - bf/ebf until 14 months, was allergic to wheat and milk but outgrown these allergies. Eczema brought on by berries.
