    How old is your LO?

Cinnamon can be an irritant and can also be an allergen.

Blueberries are low on the allergen scale. They're ok now.

Strawberries & raspberries (and similar) - higher probability of being allergic. Wait until after 1 year.

Most people I know who are worried about allergies use the chart here to figure out when to introduce foods. Unfortunately spices aren't included.

I guess I'd introduce cinnamon like I'd do any other new food - add it when all other foods are ones your LO has already had so if there is a reaction you can know it is the cinnamon and not something else.

Our experience - DS got a contact rash on his face after smelling the spice bottle of cinnamon (th bottle touched his face). Since my DS already had several known food allergies, we didn't give him any cinnamon after that. We later got DS tested at the allergist and he didn't react to cinnamon during the allergy testing so we *think* he was just reacting to cinnamon as an irritant.
