    Default Chewing?

DS latches well at the beginning of every feeding, on either breast. However, after about 3-5 minutes he starts "chewing", particularly when he's nursing on the right side. I've tried breast compressions, re-latching, and other positions, but he seems to just "laze" into chewing. I don't want to take him off after just a few minutes because I worry about him not getting to the hind milk. Milk production has never been an issue with either my DD (who I BF for a year) or DS, and in fact, I usually over produce, so I really don't want to cut the feedings on one side short... but he's killing that nipple. Anyone else have a similar challenge and a suggestion?

It's just the one side (or mostly the one side)? How old is your baby? Is he gaining well? Having plenty of wet and poopy diapers?

Yes, he really only starts chewing on the right side. I don't have problems on the left. I think he is sliding off the latch...

    He is 6 weeks old.

He's gaining very well and has plenty of wet and poopy diapers.
