Question 8 wk old - nursing strike???

Last night my 8 wk old son went to bed around 8, and awoke his normal 4-5 times for a snack, but didn't want the breast, and would only be settled by the pacifier. We got up at 5:30, and around 6 I put him to my breasts (which were full, admittedly), but he just popped off several times and turned his head away. I don't know if he was just distracted, was getting too much flow, or if he is rejecting nursing right now. He hasn't eaten in almost 12 hours (sleeping right now). When do I get concerned and try to feed him with a bottle or call the doctor?? I don't worry about weight gain with him, but this is very unusual. Please help!

Oh wow. I'm so sorry your question was missed. How are things going now, mama?

In the future, if you thread doesn't get a reply, please feel free to post on it just to bump it back up to the top of the forum listing. It's rare for posts to get buried without replies here, and it always makes us feel so rotten when that happens. Our apologies.
