Question Can I freeze leftover milk?

I warmed a bottle of BM for my daughter but she decided she wanted to BF instead. (I have a terrible backache today so I was going to pump and let DH feed her today...but my DD has decided she wants to BF and is refusing the bottle today). Anyhow I know she is supposed to drink the BM within 4 hours after I heated it...but if she doesn't can I freeze it?

This milk is milk I just expressed today and has only been in the fridge..not frozen and thawed.

    Hi utsarah!

The milk was pumped, put in the fridge, then heated today? Did your baby actually touch the milk with her mouth? When the bottle was refused, what did you then do with the milk?

It was milk that was pumped, put in the fridge, heated and then she initially refused. She drank some of it but now much. She ended up finishing it while I napped...but I am curious if would be ok to freeze if she hadn't finished it within 4 hours.

If the milk had touched baby's mouth, it wouldn't be recommended to freeze it for future use.
