Default Co Worker Delivers at 7 months

    Hello all,

My Co worker will be delivering this week at 7 months due to preclampsia...
I am wishing the new momma and baby girl a healthy c section delivery and good vibes from the nurses in the NICU.

She already explained that she wanted to breastfeed. I know she will have to pump for at least 10 weeks until the baby develops facial muscles needed to nurse.

I want to get her a new mom package and some premie clothes for the new addition.

Does anyone know any good sites for moms w/csections and preemie clothes?
If she didnt reach for me at birth I still wouldn't believe that she's all mine.

Terrible 2s dont exist... Who am I kidding?!?

What a lucky mama to have you as a friend!

My DD2 is a former 25 weeker (now about 3 months corrected age), who now exclusively breastfeed. Your friend can do it, too

As for clothes, there are preemie clothing sites that sell tiny micro-preemie clothes, but we used only the regular preemie size clothes b/c DD2 did not get out of incubator until she was very close to her original due date.

My favorite site is Amazon.com. They have more regular-baby-cloth-looking ones (not the fluffy ones).
    http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_nr_i_...%2Ci%3Aapparel

    Other sites for clothing:
    http://www.babylinq.com/index.asp
    http://www.jacquispreemiepride.com/M...vc?Screen=SFNT
    http://www.nurtureplace.com/baby-clo...88733719471852

http://www.cafepress.com/marchofdimes/644002 has NICU graduate products for not only baby but also family members.

If your friend likes to read books, here are a couple of my favorites:
Parenting Your Premature Baby and Child: The Emotional Journey (Fulcrum, 2004)
    http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...glance&s=books

The Premature Baby Book : Everything You Need to Know About Your Premature Baby from Birth to Age One (Sears, William, Sears Parenting Library.)
    http://www.amazon.com/Premature-Baby..._sim_b_title_4

Kangaroo Care: The Best You Can Do to Help Your Preterm Infant
    http://www.amazon.com/Kangaroo-Care-...4141837&sr=8-1

Good luck! Please tell her I am sending vibes from Southern California

I've had the preemie clothes at WM, I imagine that since they fit my 6lb baby loosely, they will be huge on this preemie...

Thumbs up Re: Co Worker Delivers at 7 months

Another newer place to find really cute preemie clothes is a place called Ava Babys. It is at http://www.avababys.com They have one of the best selections of Preemie Yums around. We purchased a lot of things from there.

    ***UPDATE***

Mommy and baby are just fine. Her delivery was not what she planned. But she was able to go longe enough to have the steriod shot for DDs lungs before delivery.

Her DD is now wearing 3-6 month clothing. But the links were wonderful for her. I told her about long johns for the baby and she screamed in our office "THEY MAKE THOSE?!!" I gave her one set I brought for my DD but she still couldnt beleive it. TY so much for the help. I've stored these links in my faves just in case I need them again.
If she didnt reach for me at birth I still wouldn't believe that she's all mine.
