    Default Tofu

In Malta, we get this packed soft Tofu. I never prepared Tofu but from the package it feels soft just like fresh cream. I would like to know if it is helthy and good for a one year old and how to prepare it. Shall i mix it with something or heat it??

I just give it to dh cold in little bite sized pieces. Sometimes I sprinkle a little onion powder on it. You can fry it though, with spices, and there are lots of ways to prepare it.

If you dredge it in cornstarch, it will brown like meat.

Also, i buy the 'dessert' (or silken) tofu, and my DS likes it for a snack or dessert-- good with fruit. Or warmed up with a bit of maple syrup for grown ups

Silken tofu can be eaten cold straight out of the pack, or cut into cubes and boiled in a clear broth. You could also chop some garlic or onions, heat up a bit of oil and fry the garlic or onions till golden brown and fragrant, and top the tofu with it, including the oil. Yummy!
