    Question return of my period

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this question, but here goes. My son is 4 1/2 weeks old and was delivered my c-section. I had vaginal bleeding that tapered off about a week ago. The last couple of days I have had brownish discharge and now I am bleeding bright red (sorry if this is tmi) like I have my period. I am breastfeeding and I thought my period would not return for quite some time. Could this be the return of my period? I have had no cramping, or could I still be bleeding from my delivery? I am a first time mom so I have no idea what to expect from my body?

When I had my twins ( they were born by section) I had dilated and bled for about 4 weeks and then stopped but started up again. My ob just said that I most likely was doing too much.
I didn;t get my period back in till 7.5 months with my twins -I stopped nursing at 7 months. I got AF at 11.5 months with DS and so far nothing yet-but only 2mths so far!

Sounds normal and just a part of your healing. Most women will typically bleed off and off for 6 weeks. You may also stop for a few days and then when you increase your activity or have "overdone it" the bleeding will return. I feel confident to say that it's not your period.

I agree take it easy and rest.. I always had some slight bleeding around that time, when I tried to do to much.
if it doesn't get beter or is more bleeding then a normal period you beter call your doctor just to be on the safe side.

Anything during the first 56 days postpartum are considered hormonal bleeding.
