    Question Nipple Sheilds?

Where to find them and also will they help protect a crack nipple from bleeding?

Nipple shields are available through most any IBCLC or lactation specialist. You can also find them at some infant feeding sections of stores or online. That being said, nipple shields are only for short term use, and should really only be used under the guidance of a lactation professional. Here is some more info:

That being said, you mention your nipple is cracked. Can you tell us more? Perhaps we can help you with some suggestions.

Have you talked to someone locally?

I have been seeing an LC since my dd was born she is 2 months.

I went to see her a couple weeks ago and I had asked her if it was a cracked and she didn't have anything to say... either confirm or deny or give any advice.. I posted a while back that I have this weird thing in my boob.

Anyway, my dd spit up blood and has blood in her poop and one of the diagnosis given is that she popped something in my boob. So I have been pumping that side but am unable to get enough to keep up with it...

The pain is still in the breast after she feeds from it... I was wondering if the shield helps with that?
