Question adding breastmilk to previously pumped?

I'm going out for a few hours on Sat and I plan on leaving my husband with at least 4 oz of pumped milk till I get back. Problem is I can't pump 4 oz at one time, I pumped 1 oz this a.m. and bagged it in the fridge, when I pump again in a few hours can I add that to the bag I have stored in the fridge? or do I have to bag it separate?

Yes you can add it but you have to go by the date of the first pumped milk in determining if it is still good since bm only lasts up to 8 days in the fridge. Make sense?

I read somewhere that as long as it is within the same 24 you could freeze it together. I do not see why you wouldn't be able to add it together. I will try to find the article and post it.
