    Default Swimming and BF?

I have been wondering this for awhile and now that we are going to go to a lake cottage this weekend, I thought I would ask...Is is okay to bf after swimming in a lake or pool? I am worried about the chlorine and possible bacteria from lake water. Any suggestions or ideas? Is rinsing off with plain water enough?

I BF my son after swimming on the beach and besides wiping off my breast with a baby wipe, I didn't do anything else. Plain water will do.

I can't speak about lakes or rivers, haven't done that yet. But have been taking DS in swimming pools with me since about 4 and a half months. Chlorine kills everything. I have never wiped off before nursing him. He sometimes insists on being fed in the pool when we're on a floatie together. I figure we're both in it....my group leader who's an RN says for us both just to rinse of afterwords and we're good!
