    Safe for an 18mo?

    I don't know, my pediatrician told me not to give S any seafood because of mercury, and when I was pregnant my OB/GYN said that included seaweed (for me as a pregnant woman though). I wonder?

    Hmmm... Sasha I was warned off certain types of fish but not all. And we eat quite a bit of seafood here. I'll ask the peds I guess.

    I'm not sure myself but know its loaded with minerals. Last time we were having Sushi we spoke to the waitress who was from Japan. She said they give their kids Tofu every day and edamame (mashed) when they are babies. Thought that was kinda interesting. I'll ask her about nori next time. I love hearing about other cultures and what they feed their kids.

    Yeah, don't take my word for it, it totally depends on the doctor. That's just IME. I guess my post wasn't really worth much come to think of it.

    I hope so - DS has been eating avocado sushi rolls since about 13 mo. And he LOVES them!

    that's good to know Lynn! I've wanted to introduce sushi to K since I it, but certainly not the raw stuff and she hates the texture of avocados. Maybe a cali roll?
