Default what cup do you suggest?

I am planning to start dd2 on a cup this weekend (if I get to the store) and wanted to know what is the recommend brand if any for bf babies. I am planning on the advent cup but not sure. I currently use playtex cup for my other two kids and I love playtex.

I use a nub? I think that is what it is called with the soft tip. You can get them at walmart for about $1

Unless Avent has changed their design dramatically, I would NOT recommend their cups. They have too many parts to the valve, which is a pain to clean. I personally think that if bfing is well-established, it shouldn't matter which brand of cup. I'd try the Playtex, since that works well with your other kids.

We had great luck with Playtex and Gerber cups. Good luck!

I used some that were made by rubbermaid that they don't make anymore.. they just had 3 holes in the top and no valuve...
The valuves are hard to clean if you don't have a dishwasher.
Straw cups too are a pain in the neck

I am trying the Avent...to no avail. DD does not care for it. We got the one that was made in Germany bc I am paranoid about everything made in China like some of the others. But I might just go that route once I get over myself and my OCD....

I second that Avent having too many parts, the Nuby cup makes a good first one b/c there is no valve and it is easy for them to learn on, but it still does not spill
