    Default Co-Sleeping/Side Car Help Please

    Hi everyone
We have been co-sleeping for 15months now. . We also have been using a arms reach co-sleeper which my son has now gotten way too big for. So we are moving his crib in (which I never thought we would do). I have it moved and now there is a 3inch gap between my bed and his ! I do not know what to do... I know that others have used their cribs so I am hoping i can get some suggestions. I think one of the main problems is that we have a wooden bed and he has a wooden crib...so the extra wood prohibits us from pushing it all together tightly. Please help! Thanks

I'm assuming your bed has a wood frame around it? Is that what is making the gap?
Our bed just has a head board, and we just took the side off of the crib, put it against the wall, and pushed our bed as close and as tight as possible. Even though the mattresses touch, i still put a blanket in the 'seam' or the crack and put another larger blanket over that to kind of 'blend' the two beds together if that makes any sense.

We use blankets in between the gap too. If you have a body pillow, you could lay that across too - we do that when dd has her rolling non-stop nights and keeps getting back into bed with us.

Do you have the crib side on the crib still?
Can you just move the mattress toward the crib side?
    Could you possibly take pics?

Yes we have a wood frame with headboard and footboard Due to the design of our room we can't push the bed up against a wall. I can't disassembly our bed...that would push my husband beyond his compromising abilities.

you can get some foam at wal-mart and stick down in the crack..

if you move the crib down a little bit would that help.?
So that the head board of the crib is below your head board?

we were bad and used the co-sleeper way past the weight limit too...
it was fine untill I had my older one and a day care kid jump in it.
