    Question treatment for thrush?

has anyone tried this? i found this "solution" on-line:

take 8 oz water, add 1/4 tsp baking powder and a drop of liquid soap. Mix well in a container. dab corner of cloth in the solution and wipe off at infant's tongue for 4-6x a day.

according to the website, liquid soap is safe to ingest. how true is this?

I've never heard of that. I dunno if I'd do it, tbh. Soap can't taste good...

    LOVE LOVE LOVE gentian violet!!!!!

We have a local pharmacist who will mix it up with water (instead of alcohol, since that burns) and it is awesome! We had a bout of thrush, but the gentian violet on, it was gone! We had much better luck with that than all the nystatin and vinegar treatments we were doing.

    Highly recommended!

When my oldest had it, one of the nurses recommended that I use pure drinking water with a little bit of peroxide and clean her tonge with a baby wash cloth. That worked so fast!!
