    Default Open sore on nipple

What I thought was thrush or something worse turns out to be an open sore on my nipple. DS is pushing out teeth like crazy and I did take several hard bites and a few clamp down-pull backs. He apparently broke the skin which was hard to see until recently. Now I have some scabs from them healing. It hurts. I'm using lanolin, is there anything else that is BF'ing friendly I can use on my nipples to help them heal?

    Breast milk!
Sorry about the bites. When baby bites and is clamped, gently pull in toward breast and cover nose with breast, baby will unlock.

That is a good idea! U are so helpful to me on here, I'm not sure if I ever told you that. I love the quick responses when I'm worried about things.

You'll be doing this yourself soon I am sure! We share what was freely given to us.

As long as no signs of infection, I would encourage you to continue with the lanolin as it promotes moist wound healing (your scab will be less likely to be be pulled off at every feeding, too!).

Here's some info on teething and biting:
