When is he biting? The end of a nursing session or just whenever?

It did say it could cause yeast infections....

He sucks well, then bites out of the blue. But he always wants it back immediately, like after he looks around. Now I've stopped giving it back, because he usually just yanks after I do.

He has two little cute teeth on the bottom. They came in at 6 and 7 months.

We're waiting on the top ones, those should be fun!

See thats why i was asking about teeth because some babies turn into temporary nippers when the teeth come in. At 9 months Will got three on top all at once.

So what are you doing to discourage biting? Want any feedback?

I also took keflex recently - although it was for a UTI. no problems with it.

To help decrease biting - maybe try giving him a cold washcloth to chew on before nursing. I bet his gums are itching him like crazy.

    Biting stinks, good luck!

He just does it so fast....so yeah, give me all your tips!

To discourage...I do watch him and give my attention to him. The LC told me to push him back on if he starts to yank, but sometimes he doesn't yank and just bites. Saying ouch or yelping (I can't help it!) doesn't affect him, it's funny.

Could he be teething even without swollen gums? They don't look like they are...but come to think of it I didn't notice with the bottom teeth until I saw the white poking out a little.
