Question Down-Under position a solution for gas and green poo?

Hi - I am new to this bulletin board community. I believe I have a milk oversupply issue - my month old baby girl is unable to deal with the let-down and the oversupply of milk. She also is rather gassy and later on in the day, she tends to pass greenish stools.
I spoke with a lactation consultant who suggested that I take the down-under position, particularly in the mornings, when my let-down would be more forceful because of the build-up of milk overnight.
While I can see this would help with the milk-gushing problem, I can't see how this would help with the gassiness and green stools - she still gets all the foremilk that there was, only not as fast as before. Or does this position somehow allow her to get more hindmilk too?
    Any advice/info would be welcome.
    Thanks
    Vidhya.

I don't know what the down-under position is, but my 5 week old had green, non mucousy stools, was irritable and eating every 2 hours. My LC said to block feed--in a three and a half to four hour period, only feed on one breast.
