Default 9 Month Old switching sides every 30 secs?

I had a question about some recent strange nursing behavior. My DD is 9.5 months old and she has started switching breasts every few seconds or so while she is nursing. I have squeezed the breast she has abandoned to make sure there was milk there and there is so I am confused. I feel like my supply is lower than it used to be. Has anyone experienced this or have any ideas what it could be?

LOs can take on some odd behaviors at the breast, but it doesn't mean there's necessarily anything wrong with you or your milk. She could just be distracted and looking for a way to make nursing more interesting. She could be playing a game to get the milk to letdown quicker (look mom! I have both going at the same time! ). She may be having a growth spurt and trying to increase supply...any number of things. I wouldn't worry about it. Next week she'll probably be twisting your nipples and blowing raspberries on your breasts!

Hang in there, you're doing great!
