    Default Another grape question

A recent thread about grapes has made me wonder: How old were your little ones when you started offering grapes? Thomas is 9 months old and doing great with feeding himself, and I think he would love them but don't want to give them if it's too early.

I think we gave dd them aroudn 9 months. I just cut them in half or more if they are bigger so there is no choking hazard. Actually i gave them to her around 7 months but peeled the skin off first. So 9 motnhs should be no problem! DD seems to like purple grapes more.

Thanks! He's tried a lot of new things in the past few weeks, so maybe we'll wait a little longer.

We offered them at 1 year but that is b/c my LO did not really want to "touch" solids and would only eat purees until about 10 months. We then stared adding a food every 3 or 4 days to try them out. Mostly, she just liked peas, O's and kidney beans until 1 year and now she eats any fruit or veggie we can find.

I think that we did around 8 months. I peeled them and cut them up, probably smaller than I needed to

We have been giving our daughter (9 mo) grapes, peeled and at least quartered, for about a month. We started them in a mesh feeder, but this way works fine now. She is a pretty good "chewer."
