I pump about 20-25 oz. per day and my dd only eats about 15 while at daycare. I have freezer full of excess that I basically never need to dip into since we always have fresh pumped leftover from the previous day. My question is this: How to I *decrease* my supply without it interfereing with our bedtime nursing session? I find that by the time I get home after work my breasts feel a lot less full than they do in the evenings on the weekends when I just nurse and don't pump. So much so that I sometimes have to give DD a bottle of EBM after nursing because she is still hungry. Am I pumping too much? This is an average day for me:
Wake and nurse 630am, pump other side. Pump (both sides)roughly every three hours (about three times total) and nurse when we get home in the evening.
I thought about pumping ever 4 hours instead, but won't pumping less often decrease my supply to the point where I won't make as much milk overall? I'm so confused.
