Food: Consumption to breast milk???

I'm wondering if anyone knows how long it takes a meal to get from your stomach to your breastmilk. I'm trying to figure out why my LO is so miserable at times. Because usually she's cool and calm.I pretty much eat everything and can't tell what bothers her and what doesn't.

If I eat a chocolate chip cookie (hope MikeL is not reading this), my lo has gas at the next feeding...I'm gonna say definitely within 2 hours, maybe even less.

I've read somewhere that it takes 4 hours. I can't find it now.

My experience is 1-2 hours.

I read that on average it takes about 3 hours but everyone is different
