Makes me sad to think this if my last baby...

She's not quite a year, but will be next month. I only nursed DS until a year and the last 6 months of that was only bedtime. This year with DD has gone by sooooo fast. I'm not ready to stop nursing and neither is she. She is almost exclusively nursed except for solids 1-2 a day. I had my tubes tied after my c-section with her. I'm NOT regretting having them tied. It just makes me sad that my baby is growing so fast. Our breastfeeding relationship has been so rewarding. I've worked hard to build and maintain a good supply and have been very successful. I want to nurse her forever. When the day comes that she is done, then that is it. I will never have this experience again.

Oh, I know exactly how you feel! I had my tubes tied with dd2 who is almost 10 months old now. I'm sad I'll never have another newborn, but I don't regret my tubal, either. I'm having supply issues this week and I feel especially down as I'm on the verge of formula supplementation for the first time with her. This is my last chance to get it right and I think I'm about to fail

I understand how you feel! As much as I look forward to not being the milk maid anymore, I will be so sad when it's over.

My DH doesn't understand why I well up with tears sometimes and tell my 7.5 month old DS that he's not allowed to go away to college...

yeah i don't know what i will do when i have to face the facts that its over for me. i just can't think about that, but then again i don't think i'll ever be done

I think I'm feeling so down about it, because I got AF for the first time yesterday. Big surprise! Now I know why I've been having dips in supply.
I can tell I'm more emotional. I don't know what the future holds with my breastfeeding, but I'd kinda like to go for 2 years. I'm just trying to cherish the moment. She's so sweet. Laying on me and snoring!

My last LO is 2 now and we're still nursing strong...she's attacking me right now as a matter of fact! I was going to be done nursing at 1 then at 18mos then at 2 for sure and here we are almost 25 months old and still nursing. Oh well, I have no regrets. She's our last one and I'm going to cherish her as long as possible!
