With baby led solids - you let baby decide how much they want to eat.

We started by offering once a day. DS wasn't very interested (and acutally gagged and threw up :LOL) so we backed off and tried again in a week or so. We offered once a day, and it wasn't until DS about 8 or 8.5 mo when he started eating much of anything.

BLS is all about following baby's lead. So watch your baby and his interest in solids and keep adding more solids feedings when LO is interested in more.

When DS was about 12 or 13 mo we were up to: breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, snack, dinner

he's almost 6mths now and has no teeth yet. do i start now? he watches us eat and sometimes smacks his lips don't you worry about choking? can you use a baby safe feeder with bls, or is that no longer bls? is there any harm in delaying solids until teeth appear. when do you HAVE TO start solids? i want to try mommy pops , what do you think?
