    She got him to eat a little and bought a pump to relieve he engorgment but I think its still hard on her she sounds so tired on the phone. She said nobody told me it was like this! But she is set on not giving him formula. Although I noticed " a nursing mothers help kit" from enfamil in her house. I wanted to throw it away but I don't know her that well. Shes my bf sister. Anyway I hope she doesn't use it. I have been calling her but shes been sleeping all day, don't blame her.

    reverse pressure soften works wonders....
    because its just not milk that causeing engorgment.
    ITs much worse if you have an iv during labor.
    There are extra fluids in the breast tissuse that take a few days to leave.

    She had an induction then a c-section, she was ten days overdue

    tell her to try to get some sleep and to relax all the stress of having a c section a new born and trying to bf when my lo starts to get up set i hold her and tell her she needs to quit being so fussy and that helps also i have heard the skin to skin contact helps too so maybe if she lies in bed and nurses like that it may help i know i like it cause i have oald and os and i am big breasted anyway and it seems to be working for my lo and i sometimes pump before i nurse her cause i have some much bm just tell her to hang in there it will get better i know i had a c section with my last baby and it was a lot different that having my other two natural

    Andrea I e-mailed her the page. Someone told her to only give the baby the breast he likes (a lactation consultant) and shes not pumping yet. Doesn't that sound wrong to you? I would be afraid of getting clogged ducts.
