    Default Avacados only

Hi. We started solids about a month ago. Started w/ rice, then oat, then fruit and veg. We've been doing avocados for about 2 weeks now, and for the past week that's all DS wants in terms of solids. Is it ok to give avoocados twice a day and stop cereal for a while? He really won't eat it any longer.

    Thanks!

I think it's fine. Go with the flow and follow your baby's lead. After a few days of straight avocados, I'm sure he'll want something different. My LO sometimes gets on a kick where she wants only the same food for a few days, but then if I start to introduce something new, she's ready for it.

Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies - Damn it, you've got to be kind. - Kurt Vonnegut

Yes! Avocadoes are infinitely more nutritious and baby-friendly than cereal. Remember he is still getting mommy's milk and little samples of everything you eat as well. It's not like he's on an "all avocado" diet!

    does baby have pincher grasp?
you can try cold cereal just get one thats not full of sugar or corn syrup.
Most babies realy love to self feed. You can just put a few on their tray and they go to town.

Yes, he can use his pincher grasp. I remember giving rice crispies to my daughter when she was around this age. I will try some today. I guess there is no harm. Perhaps he is too little for cheerios?

    Thanks!

I'm sorry to sound so negative, but extruded (puffed or flaked) grains have been shown to be toxic. Here is the info: http://www.westonaprice.org/modernfo...y-secrets.html Do with it what you will.
