Default I have a great hope:-)

    Hello, just wanted to update.

The day before yesterday, I ended up staying at ICN longer than planned and managed to breastfeed Penga during a 12 hour period. We nursed 5 times w/ only 15ml supplementation (for Penga to take muti-vitamin).

AND at the end of the day, Penga's weight increased by 2 oz! Penga was producing pee pee at every diaper change (before every feeding), and also had good poo poo

I have a hope that we can exclusively breastfeed at home

By the way, Penga's expected discharge day is now set for this coming Tuesday (Dec. 11.)

Having good milk supply really helped her to like nursing.

    Mother of two girls:
Sydney (born 10/31/01- nursed until 3 yrs & 10 mos)
Penga (born 08/15/07 - former 25 weeker who loves to nurse)

    & no more!

I just wanted to say Hi, and congratulations! Being a preemie mom isn't easy. My 24 weeker never figured out how to bf, so I pumped exclusively for 5 months for him. It sounds like you are well on your way to being able to ebf at home!!!!! Good luck with your little miracle!
