    Default Help!

I'm 8 weeks PP and I have just started spotting--really light and bright red. Is this normal? Is it a sign that my milk supply will be decreasing? I thought that periods and spotting were pretty much non-existent while BF. ???

It all depends on the person mama. Some ppl see AF early, some not at all, some halfway through their BFing relationship. It's also not necessarily a sign of decreased supply, although some notice a dip around that time too. If you're concerned, call your doctor, but I think you should be fine.

Congratulations on the birth of your LO.

I got mine back at 3 months and its much heavier. So its okay if its back, you might notice a small drop in supply (I only noticed a very small one) So I wouldn't worry. You can still BF. Mine is now 15 months so my period has been back for a year now and I still BF.

on the birth of your little one.

The dip in supply that you mentioned, is it a permanent thing or just as the period is beginning?

Please also be aware that PP spotting (as well as reduced supply) can be a sign of over-exertion. If you have been fairly active, you may want to cut back on physical activity a bit and rest as much as possible. Your body has been through a lot -- be sure you're being king to it!

    And congratulations!

That's just at the beginning, it goes back up from my understanding. I haven't gotten AF back yet, so don't know from experience

Its just the first day or so of my period (at least for me it was) Like I said I only notice her a little fussy so I associated it with a dip, but it wasn't huge, she didn't starve or anything

Yeah I had that too.. I was like walking the dog, trying to do everything and I spotted a little, it was a week or two after I stopped bleeding for the whole "birth thing"
