That might be factual for a sensitivity, but could be dangerous for a true allergy.

To the OP, any "checking" to see if milk is there or sexual play involving the breasts can contribute to milk production.

"Per Breastfeeding and Human Lactation (Riordan, 2004, p. 80), "Small amounts of milk or serous fluid are commonly expressed for weeks, months, or years from women who have previously been pregnant or lactating." The amount is most often very small, however, and spontaneous flow (leaking) generally stops within 2-3 weeks. Mothers who have breastfed for a longer duration may be able to express milk for a longer time after weaning. Any stimulation, e.g. checking to see if milk is still there, frequent breast self-exams, friction from a bra , stimulation during intercourse, etc., can cause further production. "

I can understand producing milk due to sexual stimulation ect, but why would your body revert back to making colostrum??? That's interesting. I don't know anything about it but if it was me I'd be taking another test if af didn't show up.
My son hasn't nursed for 9 days now so I'm trying to learn more about what might happen with my milk It's amazing that we can produce milk for so long and after a long time of being "dried up"

Well, I googled it and found this little paragraph that says it will gradually turn to colostrum-like consistency. Never knew that.....

Kind of OT but I read that eskimo fisherman would go back home to their mothers for a "nip" before heading out to sea!! So that sounds about right that we could keep producing for that long just "in case" we had a grown child who was ill or some other reason to need more milk!!
