Default Frozen milk from different days

I just have a question if I can mix frozen breast milk pumped on different days.
    Thank you.

Yes, it's fine to mix frozen milk that was pumped on different days.

It's also possible to add fresh EBM to a container of already frozen milk and then freeze (I think this is called "layering" in pumping-lingo?) -- just so long as there is more frozen milk than fresh milk, so the frozen doesn't get completely thawed.

This would be a great question for the pumping board -- you may get more expert or BTDT support there.

Hello Lena! I just wanted to add that I read in Nursing Mother, Working Mother by Gale Pryor (p111) that "If you add fresh milk to a container partly filled with frozen milk, be sure to cool the fresh milk in the refrigerator before you do so."

I am not sure why, but the book has been very reliable thus far, so I trust the source.

    Good luck!
    Susanne
