I have been steaming pear slices (I cut the fat part of the pear in thin rounds), and apple chunks, and yellow squash rounds and zuchinni chunks, then freezing them.
I then take them out the night before I need them and store them in plastic tubs. By the time LO gets to nursery, they are thawed out...the problem is, they are slippery. Today he gagged on the pear slices (at home) b/c it was so slippery. It's like a gross fish! He usually eats one, then throws them on the floor!
Is there a way to make them less slippery?? The slipperyness scares me b/c the Super Baby Food Book said those are choking hazards, and the texture is gross too.
