Default Is it just me, or...

I have noticed that when moms write about one side having a low supply, it's the left breast. I have yet to read about someone having less supply on their right side.

Before I started visiting this forum and just had my sisters to speak to about bf, my older sister said that her left side produced less too. Is there a physiological reason for this?

    Curious...

    Thanks.

I actually get less out of my right side. I may just be unique...

My LC said sometimes it could have to do with hand dominance--either the mom's, because we may hold baby differently on the two different sides, or the baby's, because she is more comfortable on one side or another. I don't think anyone really knows, though.
I love my kids. I care for them accordingly. What more can I say?

I've posted several times that my left is the big producer (aka "the big gun") and my right produces less. It was the same with first dd, too. I'm right handed.

I get a lot less from my right breast also. I get maybe 1 ounce if I pump and I get 2-3 ounces from my left breast when pumping.

I get this every so often. Usually my difference is only a couple millileters. (sp?)

I couldn't help but notice that our babies have the same birthday with almost the same birth weight and nearly the same birth time. Although, Iguess my time was really 3 hours different...but anyways!

Mine switched: the left used to be better, then I played with my pumping times and now the right is almost an ounce ahead. not quite what I was aiming for, but ya know.

I'm left-handed, but produce more from the right. My husband and I joke that while I'm left-handed, left-footed, and even my left eye is dominant...I must be right-breasted
