Default What should I give for breakfast?

    Hi friends,

You guys have always been of great help to me and I appreciate it

My son is alomost 9 months old now. He doesn't seem to be liking cereal that much recently. I was wondering what other alternatives do I have for breakfast. Can I give him earth's best fruits or veggies instead? Or any other suggestions? Please advice...

cherios (which is a cereal but can be more fun for your baby than infant cereal), string cheese, bread, pieces of fruit, cottage cheese. Also both Earth's Best and Gerber Organics have jarred breakfasts like banana oatmeal or peach and rice or something.

Thanks Desperate. I'll try each one of these one at a time and see how he likes them

Do you offer the waffles with syrup or just plain? 'coz i tried to give him pancakes with syrup the other day and he didn't like them much. Don't know if he'll like plain ones though.I should try without the syrup this time. Banana and yogurt sounds good

My dd LOVES waffles. Also, I get those french toast sticks and cut them up very small. She feeds herself though, you didn't mention if your lo is a self feeder or not.

The book "Super Baby Foods" has some great baby porridges that you can make.

At 9 mth, I give DS pancakes, oatmeal (the real stuff), peas, yogurt, banana, and plain bread. In fact he is still getting pretty much the same stuff now..

Danismommy07 - My son is not a self feeder yet(maybe I should say I haven't really allowed him to self feed with the fear that he might choke himself).

What type of bread do you guys usually use to toast? Is wheat or 12 grains ok? Any suggestions are appreciated.
