Default How often is your 9 mo. old nursing?

DS has started 3 solid meals a day. I've been sending one bottle with him to daycare (8 hours). I nurse at 8 and 4. He gets a bottle at noon.

How often do you nurse/give a bottle to your baby?

    Here's his schedule:
    4am (or so) nurse
    8am nurse and then solids
12pm bottle (I work) and then solids
4pm nurse dinner is around 5pm
    7pm nurse

    Does that seem like enough?

Man, my daughter is 9mths as well. She nurses evry 2 hours without fail. But then again, i am yet to push solids. When im eating and she acts interested i will share what i can, if its something she cant eat then i will get out something i've pureed. Im also home with her everyday.
But- i need to say that every child/infant is different. If he seems satisfied, then so be it. I wouldn't push solids too much that it's making up for nursing sessions ( not saying thats what your doing at all ), he still needs all those very important nutrients etc...
    Good luck,
    Amanda

How much does he eat at his solid meals? I'm assuming there are no other night feedings you've left out, so it does seem like he has scaled back on his nursing. He may have just consolidated though, so I wouldn't be too worried. However, you might want to just let him self-feed if you are currently spoon-feeding at all. If he stays on the same schedule, then that should ease your mind. He will get just the right amount if he is in total control. HTH!

My D just turned 8 months old and we have almost exactly the same schedule. I'm a chicken to offer 3 meals a days since she is only nursing 5 times a day but she is a healthy 19 pounds so it can't be too bad. Good Luck

My little guy is 8 months old and is also on 3 (large, 2 course!) meals a day - also, introducing the solids made no difference to the milk he took at night - he still nurses for the same amount of time and at the same times through the night:
    7:30am - nurses
    9:00 - breakfast
    10:30 - nurses before nap
    1:00 - lunch and water
    3:00 - nurses
    5:00 - supper and water
    6:00 - nurses
    7:30 - nurses
    1:00am - nurses
    5:00am - nurses

Colm will be 9 months this week -

    He usually nurses
when he wakes in the morning - 6-6:30ish
when he wakes from his morning nap - 10-10:30
when he wakes from his afternoon nap - 2:30ish
and then around dinner/bedtime - he is usually wanting something around 5-6, but I have been trying to push this feed closer to bed at 7 so he gets a full feed. This is the only feed that he usually gets solids first.
We are currently weaning from our last night feed at 4-5 am. Should be gone this week.
He gets solids 3 times a day - breakfast 7-8 am, lunch around noon and dinner between 5-6.
