    Red face introducing new food

so, here I am with another of my dumb questions... so please be gentle to me, and don't think I'm a total idiot

if I choose to space the different food I introduce (4-6 days, let's say), in the meantime, can I still feed DS with the ones I have tried already? or it has to be an 'exclusive' food for a few days, just to be sure?

I would go for the 'adding' rather than 'rotating', but I'm not sure...

again, don't think I'm stupid, I'm only uncapable to think straight when it comes to potential harm to my LO

    TIA!

    We did something like

    day 1-3 carrots
    day 4-6 broccoli and carrots
day 7-9 broccoli, carrots and squash etc.

So it was adding, not feeding just that food.

If he had any reaction I waited until that had cleared up before introducing something else new. So when he got eczema on his face and nappy rash form eating cheese, I waited about a week until that had cleared up.

Also when I introduced the more common allergy foods (eg wheat, soy, cheese) I just gave them once, then waited a few days before trying again (although he hasn't had cheese again).

I'm not sure if this is the by-the-book way to do it, but it's what we did!

Thank you, I am relieved that I didn't do anything "wrong": I was almost sure that this was the 'procedure', but I always feel so insicure regarding what to do... that's what maternity have done to the killer lady I remember being...
    thank you again!
