    Default Sour milk?

I gave DD some milk in a cup this am - out of a bag I had pumped earlier this week. Well, some dribbled down her shirt and I noticed that it smelled sour.

Is the milk bad? Is smell the best way to tell? Is it ok that DD drank some?

If so, I wonder what happened... I tend to send one bag to many to daycare so 1 usually comes back, but I thought they usually kept it cool all day.

If it smelled sour, it was was, well, sour!

Was it just the one bag or have you had the same issue since?

This happened to me a few months ago, but mine was frozen EBM. I made cereal for dd with it and noticed the smell - she did eat some and was fine. I think I have a lipase problem and I had to pitch about 240 oz of frozen stash

Don't toss it! Milk banks will take even milk that excess lipase has soured.
