    Smile Clueless

    OK SO I WANT TO MAKE MY LO HOMEMADE BABY FOOD SO I WENT TO THE FOOD STORE TO BY SWEET POTATOES THINKING EASY I READ A BOOK SOUNDED LIKE A NO BRAINER. I GET TO THE FOOD STORE AND THERE ARE 2 KINDS OF SWEET POTATOES RED AND WHITE AND YAMS WHICH I THOUGHT WERE THE SAME AS SWEET POTATOES??? WHAT THE HECK IS THE DIFFERENCE AND DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN FIND NUTRITION INFORMATION ABOUT SWEET POTATOES AND OTHER VEGGIES AND FRUITS SO I KNOW WHAT IS THE HEALTHIEST TO FEED MY LO?

    "Yams" in the U.S. are 99.9% Sweet Potatoes mislabeled. True Yams come from Africa and can weigh up to and over 100 pounds!!!
    I did much research on this one too. So you are pretty safe in assuming that store labeled "Yams" are plain ol sweet potatoes.
