    Default Pumping pain..

I have been having some pain on my right breast when I begin to pump each and every time. It is enough to make me cringe each time I need to put the pump on which is many many times a day now. This has never happened with my left breast. Could I possibly need a larger size flange for the right side? The pain subsides after my milk lets down but when the pump first starts up I could nearly jump through the roof of my house.

    Thanks in advance!

Is the pain near or on the nipple? Do you think you might have a clogged duct?

I found larger breast shields made everything more comfortable so you might try that. Your nipple isn't supposed to hit the sides of the flange when you pump.
