    Default time saving tips

I'm hoping all you working moms have some good tips for how you save time and keep yourself sane...

Here are a few things I do:

    1) I bought spare pump parts, refrigerate them during the day - I only end up using the dishwasher for them about once a week.

    2) I assemble the bottles ahead of time so when I'm repacking the diaper bag I just grab a bottle - I have enough to last a week.

    3) I only go to the grocery store every 2 weeks - I love the weekends I don't have to go!

Don't fold a newborn babies clothes.

As you wash, have a basket that is just for the babies clothes and just pull out what you want as you need it. Saves a ton of time folding that little stuff (seems like the only time it's fun to fold that stuff is right when you buy it )

Nice thread idea. I'll be back with more

bought a deep freezer and made a whole bunch of "frozen dinners". basically just doubled up on recipes i was making anyway, and packed them into cheap gladware or ziploc bags.

get home from work. feed baby. pop two dinner in the microwave me and DH. saves so much time on busy week nights! every few weekends, i'll make a big batch of something to freeze.

also: bought adapters for my PIS. now i can pump directly into avent bottles. saves me from transferring milk and all the extra bottle washing.

I clean the toilet and wipe down the bathroom countertop while DH takes a bath. All my cleaning supplies are under the sink (in a babyproofed cabinet) so I don't have to leave the room and can still watch DH at the same time.

I do still fold DS's clothes, but I often do it in his room and put them away while he plays in his nursery. We can still "talk", I can sing to him and watch him play. I just sometimes have to take book breaks to read to him.

I do a lot of my shopping online so that I don't have to coordinate a trip out of the house to buy clothes, toys, etc. I try to watch for specials for free shipping so I don't end up paying extra for the convenience. (Target often has free shipping on select items and LL Bean currently has a free shipping offer.)

I'll have to try this with my DF, but I guess we'll have to wait until DD goes to bed. I do think I'd rather him wipe down the countertop and clean the toilet while watching me bathe though.

Guess I was distracted when I wrote this. DH takes a bath on his own, thankfully. I actually do this while DS bathes.

I have on e of those scrubbing bubbles things that mounts inside of my shower. it sprays down the shower on its own and does a decent job

fold baby clothes??? never. She goes through so many that it isnt worth it

I do also cook ahead so I can just pop something in the oven

I try to do work while I am pumping ( at work) so I dont have to take the paperwork home ( but as you can see that isnt happening right now)
