    Default Sterilizing for Preemie

I have a preemie in the hospital now but had to go back to work. I was pumping at home and have a good supply that I would like to keep up. How do I continue to pump at work and deal with sterilization. I can sterilize the milk collection bottles at home and that's ok, my dilemma is with the rest of the pumping system that I can't sterilize after one use. Is it safe to just wash and reuse a few hours later? My baby has recurrent NEC and I'm afraid that his intestinal tract is now very sensitive.

Congrats on your new arrival! Medela makes sterilizing microwave bags, if you have access to a microwave at work. You can get them at Target or Babies R Us.

I think most moms put the pump parts in the fridge between pumping times

How many times per day do you pump? Would you be able to purchase an extra pump kit or two so that you could keep one sanitized and ready to go (in a clean ziplock bag, for example) at all times?
