Do what you feel is right for you and LO. I waited until after 6 months because I figured those people at LLL and the WHO must know something that I don't!

We tried to start solids at 6 months when our LO's doc said to do so but she refused them until 7.5 months. Then, she decided she loves them but always nurses first.
Samantha: born 3 1/2 weeks early on Sept 2006 6lbs 4 oz 18 inches long with situs inversus totalis. Now a strong healthy little girl that wants to be a NICU doctor, loves her little sister and breastfeeds her dolls!
