    Default runny nose, and breastfeeding.

Will got a cold and is miserable, he is also having trouble staying on the breast for long. I'm thinking I ought to pump in order to clear out my breast considering i just got over mastitus. Any thoughts?

Other than getting snot on my boob, dd was able to figure it out. She stops periodically to take a deep breath. Sometimes I'll use the bulb syringe to clean her nose before nursing, just to make it a little easier for her.

I'll try that, he hasn't even expressed interest in bf for hours now. He also just cried himself to sleep for the first time, which makes me feel sad. It looks as though he is getting some fluid buildup in his ear; he's pulling it. Has anyone got any ear ache tips?

I tired that and the way he was whipping his head around caused me to insert the tip too deep and it was painful for him. I can't get him entirely immobile by myself.

Saline nose spray will help break up the gunk, too. I use it when my son gets stuffy.

I don't know if this will help but sometimes when i give kaeden a bath, I use the wet washcloth to massage downwards from the corner of his eye and down his nostril. Sometimes the combination of the warm washcloth and the massage gets some of his boogers and snot out. hope will feels better soon!!
