    Default Tummy nursing?

Ok, so I've noticed a few times when my daughter is inconsolable at the breast but noticeably hungry, she will nurse if i lie on my back and place her on my tummy, so she's basically nursing on her tummy.

I was wondering if there is any harm in doing this? I think I read that this can cause a plugged duct? Does anyone know anything about this or have a LO who likes to do this?

    Thanks again !!

We've done this many times. I think the only time you're really at risk for a plugged duct would be if you stayed that way for a very long time. There was a time that my LO would only eat off my right side if we nursed this way

My guy does this, especially at night. I think it's OK as long as you don't do it all the time this way. I think the concern about plugged ducts is that it doesn't drain the milk as well because gravity is working against you.

Sorry if spell wrong! Pumping at keyboard!!
When Jack was having his fussy period at about 11 weeks - 14 weeks, I would juggle him around, walking, alternating positions... a lot of the time I would end up almost sat but lay on sofa with him on top of me! If it works....!!
