Default Can fenugreek have the OPPOSITE effect?

I started taking fenugreek (3 caps 3x a day) a couple of weeks ago to increase my supply. I noticed within about 24 hours that my supply seemed to decrease. I went from pumping 2.5 - 3oz at a time to barely 1oz. I know that the amount pumped is not indicative of supply, but I thought that was pretty coincidental.
About a week ago, I switched to a tincture of goat's rue, fenugreek and blessed thistle.
I didn't take it yesterday. Today, when I pumped, I got 4oz. Again, I know that the amount pumped is not really an indication of how much milk is available, but it seems pretty coincidental, again.
I'm wondering if the herbs have the opposite effect for me?

I have not had any increase in my supply with fenugreek and took goat's rue last week, and that made my supply even less!! I just left it and went back to taking domperidome. My supply seems to be up again today!

Can you tell us more about your nursing/pumping routine. What you have tried already to boost your milk supply, and the approxiamate goal you have?
