I am concerned that my 7.5 month old daughter is not getting enough fluids. After she started solids at 6 months the time she spends nursing has greatly reduced. Here is our schedule:
Upon waking nurse (5-10 mins), 8a cereal mixed with 2-3 oz of breastmilk and then offered the rest of her bottle, usually drinks only another oz or so, 11a nurse for about 5-7 mins, 1 serv. veggies and 1 serv. fruit for lunch, 2p nurse 5-7 mins, 5p nurse for 5-7 mins, 1 serv. veggies and 1 serv. fruit for dinner, 6:30p nurse 10-15 mins before bed and then nurse 10-15 mins if she wakes up at night.
She is on such a strict schedule because she is at daycare M-F. She does not have any overt health problems and is quite chubby.
I have been offering her breastmilk in a cup for sips during dinner. Do you think I need to offer her more throughout the day or is she getting enough during the nurses even though they are short?
