    Default Milk thawed in refrigerator

    I thaw my frozen BM in the refrigerator rather than under warm water. The milk is only warmed under the faucet when it is ready to be used. It takes up to 3 days for all ice crystals to completely thaw out. Does this milk still fall under the "use within 24 hours or throw it away" rule? Or can this thawed milk stay refrigerated for a couple more days without going bad? I have never experienced the milk smelling or tasting bad.

    In this case, smell/taste would be your best guide. Ice crystals means that the milk is not totally defrosted. So, as long as the milk is still smells/tastes good, it should be fine to go beyond the 24 hour guideline.
